Carrie Underwood is the Latest "Champion" of Sports Anthems

The wait for Carrie Underwood's newest hit is almost over. Fan's were treated to a glimpse of Underwood's newest song "The Champion" during Sunday Night's playoff game between the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams.

According to Variety, the full song will be revealed during Super Bowl LII. With motivational lyrics like, “I am invincible, unbreakable, unstoppable, unshakeable/ They knock me down…" Underwood spins an anthem that is sure to become a classic among not only sports fans, but also underdogs from every corner of the world.

Retired NHL Pro, Mike Fisher, previously employed his wife's pipes to amp himself up before a game by listening to “The Champion.” In September 2017, Underwood told Variety, “My husband loved it. He would listen to it before playoff games."

Sunday Night Football on NBC took to Instagram to hint to fans about the sneak-peak. In the post, Underwood was featured in her season-opening dress, reminiscent of "Super Woman" herself.

After Underwood became "The Champion" of American Idol in 2005, the songbird's career exploded. In 2013, she replaced Faith Hill as the face of Sunday Night Football.
