McCreery Celebrating Idolversary

McCreery Celebrating 'Idolversary'

Scotty McCreery is celebrating his Idolversary. Six years ago, Scotty became one of the youngest American Idol winners in the history of the show when he beat out Country star Lauren Alaina, on season 10 of the iconic reality singing competition on May 25, 2011, at the age of 17.

Since his Idol win McCreery released his debut album, “Clear as Day”, in 2011 and followed it with a Christmas album in 2012. He released his third album “See You Tonight” in 2013. The first single from the album, also called "See You Tonight", became his first song to reach the top ten on Billboard's Country charts.

Now 23, McCreery most recently released his single “Five more minutes”.

Meanwhile Scotty’s running mate, none other than Miss Lauren Alaina has also found success in country music.

Lauren Alaina is enjoying success with her sophomore album “Road Less Traveled” with her very first number one song by the same name.

Lauren became the first female solo artist since Kelsea Ballerini last September to have a Number One song.

Happy Idolversary Scotty!
