John Rich Launches New Whiskey in Minnesota
by Alicia Pack
Whiskey and John Rich lovers alike came out to sample Redneck Riviera Whiskey, hear a great show and support Folds of Honor Minnesota.
To kick off Minnesota becoming the 26th state to carry Redneck Riviera, John Rich went all out. Samples of the small batch whiskey, with an oak finish, were served before and during the intimate free concert that was open to the public. To get everyone celebrating, Rich started the show with Ring of Fire and the result was a deafening crowd. From there, Rich played songs he wrote for Faith, Run Away with You that was co-written and recorded by Michael Ray, invited Cowboy Troy onto the stage for Sharp Dressed Man and finished with Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy remixed with Baby Got Back, Shots and Give it Away Now.
The event was about much more than sampling and singing, however, the event was also about raising awareness for Folds of Honor.
Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships for spouses and children of fallen soldiers and severely disabled combat veterans. As a result of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, there are over 1.5 million dependents, and 87 percent of those are not eligible for any government educational assistance.
For every bottle of Redneck Riviera Whiskey sold, 10 percent of the proceeds go toward the Folds of Honor Foundation.
